I’m just gonna say it: Excision’s X Rated LP is the best dubstep album of the year (that’s right, better than Divergent Spectrum). With ten full length tracks ranging from dubstep, drum & bass, and even electro, with appearances from Datsik, Messinian, Downlink, Skism, and even Mr. Hudson, X Rated just straight bangs all the way through. This isn’t gonna be the regular dubstep you hear everyday – Excision once again shows that he is the king of the heavy bass dubstep genre, while also going outside of that with some electro tracks that are pretty damn good in my opinion. The track I posted here is the first on the album, and I think it really shows the energy of the album as a whole. If you have any money, BUY this LP, and it’ll blow your mind I guarantee it. Heavy Artillery (SKisM Remix) – Excision & Downlink
Follow @dubstepklctnA Heavy Artillery Remix EP was just released on Beatport the other day and i’m absolutely loving it. I loved the original track, and the remixes are great and offer great variety from SKisM, Adroa, Document One, and Neon Steve. I decided to feature the Skism track not only because he isn’t featured on the site very often, but because (in my opinion) it’s the best remix. This remix has a lot more going on in it, which I like because I thought the original was a little slow-moving at times. He also samples some Datsik in the remix as well – can you spot it? Swagga (Haydn Hoffman Bootleg) – Datsik & Excision
Follow @dubstepklctnYes I got my swagga back. Haydn Hoffman takes this song to another level, adding to the genius of Datsik and Excision. I was talking to a few kollectors the other day, and I asked – “what would we do without remixes?” They responded ‘commit suicide’ and ‘kill myself’ (you know who you are). Maybe a little extreme, but you get the point. If your reading this Haydn, I want to thank you for killing one of my all time favorite tracks and making it that much more insane.

If you don’t know how well Excision and Downlink work together, then you need to youtube some tracks right now before you listen to this. I’m not usually the biggest fan of VIP’s, but I might have to change my mind after this track (Press the download link below to see what I mean). I also got this track with perfect timing; I’m seeing Excision live tomorrow at the Congress Theatre in Chicago with my girlfriend. Rude Symphony – Excision & Subvert
Follow @dubstepklctnIts been a while since a super filthy track has been up on the Dubstep Kollection, so seeing that Rottun Record’s Excision and Subvert have released two tracks new today, I thought posting one of them could bring the filth back on the kollection. Rude Symphony and Darkness are both incredibly dirty tracks (it’s Excision what do you expect) and I would have included both in this post, if it wasn’t for the fact that the DL links would probably get taken down. Skream, Trolley Snatcha, Excision & Statelapse

A Millie (Excision & Datsik Remix) – Lil Wayne
Follow @dubstepklctnIt seems like every artist has done an A Millie remix these days but this one is definitely one of the best. I love the beat in the background. It has been pulled off of Biochemical Equation, which is on my all time favorite dubstep album, Wu-Tang Clan Meets The Indie Culture Vol.2 (Enter The Dubstep). If you haven’t heard of this album definitely look it up, it’s sick! So back to the A Millie version, the vocals mix up perfectly with the wobbly bass in the background.
